I played the whole game and thought I had it figured out : ) cool to know.

Runes are time cost to build the upgrade

I can't equip anything. Spamming fireballs is fun.

A second column of multiplier bricks which are gold will start dropping after you unlock that. And buy specials.

But then you tried again right? Right? (insert Anakin meme here) What's your best so far?

I just came back to check on any updates I missed. Excited to hear you're still working on this.

Really enjoyed this aesthetic.

The rapid attack move is just like the freeze in place while knights dash through you and murder you move. I like the equipment upgrades because worthwhile stat boosts plus they look cool and even show up on the character which is a really nice touch. pro tip: maybe don't choose the rapid attack move. Or figure out how to time it to only use it when no knights are nearby.

I also like how the cards stack up to level up so level ups aren't wasted. Always feels like a worthwhile boost or gain.

All the lighting effects are really nice too. The way items light up different under the weapon fire. And the way the stars slightly shift tints.

I was able to get farther thanks to the save feature. Like clockwork every 7.5 levels, 7 to 8 levels, crash.  I'd like to see more enemies. Maybe 1 new stronger enemy every 10 levels or something. And just personal preference I wish I could reset the game or minus upgrades if I want to reduce fire rate or lines number. (Some of the later "bullets" look really cool and I want to reduce fire rate to see them better so they don't just blend into a stream overlapping with each other)  Fun game overall. Still playing and almost at T50. Just to get to see what the next weapon will look like makes me want to keep playing. Different enemies would add to that even more.

Game freezes right when I enter T7. Happened twice. Really good game though. I'd like to get to see what all the upgrades do.

Yeah it was. Can eventually tease it towards a more correct answer if you tell it it's wrong enough times but not usually worth doing.

I'm not sure why I posted that since you did say it was unbalanced. Just found it funny. When GPT found the answer I told it I was quitting and it said I needed to be patient 🤣I'll try again later.

With 43% debt paid and 150 silver per second, chat gpt is telling me that it will take 5 years to pay off the remaining debt. I'm not sure if that is correct but I may not be able to complete this game.

I only need 7 million silver per second to complete the game within an hour. I don't think I'm going to make it.

I've played for 3 to 4 hours now. I can say it's worth the purchase. It's a mostly idle game meaning very little clicking and most of the time you're just watching. But the life simulation visuals are very enjoyable to watch so I don't feel like I need a lot of things to "do" like with some other idlers to make me feel entertained. Prestiges increase the resolution of the sim so it looks nicer and can score more points. (and prestige points can be spent to boost upgrade base levels) The upgrades are worth buying, they make a noticeable impact on how the life sim fares. Worthwhile prestiges, worthwhile upgrades, and overall good at helping one pass the time if you're listening to podcasts or audiobooks etc.

I had fun. Made a lot of money. Didn't get the scout or fighter ships yet. Tabbed out. Tabbed back. No save. Progress is gone. Fun while it lasted.

edit: remembered this and came back. If anyone needs it: chrome://discards/ don't lose your progress

Hopefully you can make sense of what I tried to do in the other reply to your same post I'm replying to now. The formatting is weird with the spacing and I couldn't fix it. Maybe something there will help. And you can see the idea I was trying out like Betsy the Bestiary Sheep... lol Silas the skillfox or Silvio, Skye, see below for them all. Starla the deer. Sta-rla Sta-ts upgrade.

That's pretty cool. If I'm not reading too far into the sneak peak. Looks like you've made a group of people enjoying the fire = the upgrades menu

My new best

I don't think anyone has said this so far so I want to say it so it doesn't get overlooked. I just want so say how much I appreciate the fast forward button. Especially in lieu of meta progression (which I'm very excited to hear you are planning) successive playthroughs are far more doable thanks to that button.

By the 250 buy, too many kernels spawn so the game freezes or runs at 1% speed. Will vary by pc of course. May want to have 1 kernel represent 10 popcorns at the higher purchase levels. Fun game.

Best I've done so far. Probably done for now unless again some upgrades between runs get brought in. Really enjoyed. Thanks for making. I'll hopefully notice if you further develop and put it on steam cause I'll want to get that.

I'm also of the roguelite>roguelike camp but I guess that's not everyone. Mainly I'm trying to figure out why my shots miss more often than they hit. And I can't tell if clicking on the enemies improves my odds of not missing. Seems like it helps sometimes but might just be random luck.

I got the accuracy buff right after I said that. Now I understand this game. I do like it a lot. I wish it was roguelite though. Adds longevity of playtime to a good game like this for me. I guess it could be an optional mode. Not sure if anyone has done that before but don't know why not.

He's right. I don't know what it is. Might need a reduced graphics mode. Game is very slow. Even after level 13 of attack speed. Seems like it's lagging. I really like this game though. Other than that.

I'd buy this on steam just with more levels. The explodebot wastes the effort of the drillbots. I'd like him to go off and find his own corner. Game broke at nature level 7 right after I bought the 0.5 second upgrade for the drillbots that requires nature rocks to buy. Not sure if that's what caused the break but the price didn't change so that's supsicious. It's still asking for 500 coal and 5 plants. (but the resources were consumed upon purchase) A little after that purchase the drillbots started one by one until they were all doing this, drilling a spot like normal and then all of a sudden drilling at super speed but never finishing in that same spot. Just stuck there. So I broke everything with the pick. It didn't matter. All tiles are mined but they still look unmined and level does not advance to next level. Bots still jittering in place at super speed.

No .exe?

I asked chat gpt to solve for (a*10^(a^0.9-1)*1000^b^0.7)^log5(5+c)). It said ask someone smarter.

Like this game a lot. Even though I have to copy and paste my save text. Coming back for night 2 to play this again and looking forward to it.  (edit: removed supposed bug info. Was no bug. Didn't realize closing the export code window required verifying code)

I did this in about 2 minutes. I don't know what's going on with this.

Just for fun, 30 more seconds and:

I wasn't paying attention to the time but I think that took me 30 minutes.

I beat the game. I don't even speak German. It was fun. The picture at the end felt more inspiring and rewarding than seeing 8 bit Samus in her swimsuit. Possibly.

That squid is working for the fish. They paid him off.

I played for a couple hours after that. Mostly to completion. It's fun. If you put it on Steam the only suggestion I'd have is a toggleable 30 second timer in the upgrade menu that allows for autoruns or auto start the next day. I think it will get better ratings that way. The blue cats were my favorite. Both of them.

Great game. Love cats coffee and upgrades and this has all of them. I played this game for about 30 minutes before having the slightest clue what was going on because itch.io puts these little floating tags on the screen that were blocking the numbers on the inventory. So the restock system was a complete mystery to me. I'm like why do we have to auto stock to restock every time we go to make a coffee we restock first? Then finally I saw the numbers through the tags.  Every game on itch.io has a critical need of a full screen option. (it's the only way to get the tags to go away and stop blocking the screen) I really like your upgrade system because it has a certain type of variety to it that makes upgrade games a lot of fun and not everyone who makes upgrade games gets that.

I don't know. I think a lot of students of gaming post their early work here. Lets us play things that won't make it to other sites or haven't yet. And lets developers get some feedback.

They make the coins worth more. Might need to purchase a few before you can notice.

The friendly cursor critical is about half the damage of their non criticals. I think they lose the Stronger Together bonus when they crit. Great game. Really like this one. Thanks for making.

I can tell some things are still in work. The buildings produce on their own not taking from other resources the way manually doing it does unless that is intentional. The rescue mission doesn't go away or change and you can select it as many times as you want to shift your morality. Really nice aesthetic and music where I can see it being relaxing and enjoyable to play for a long time once it's more complete.
